Simple Cream Cheese with Lemon Zest Frosting

Ingredients

8 oz (226g) Cream Cheese, softened

½ cup unsalted Butter, room temperature

2 ½ - 3 cups Powdered Sugar

2 ½ tsp Lemon Zest

1 ½ tsp Vanilla Extract

¼  tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl mix together cream cheese and butter until smooth, using a hand mixer on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

  2. Add powdered sugar in batches and continue mixing on low speed until combined.

  3. Add in vanilla extract, salt and lemon zest and mix until creamy.
